The PositionThe Director of Residential & Case Management Services is responsible for providing leadership and guidance in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the following program areas: Residential Care Facilities for persons with Mental Illness, Habilitation Homes and Supported Community Living Community Services. Provides overall planning, organization, quality assurance and coordination of a multidisciplinary team serving clients with chronic mental health issues to ensure continuity and quality of treatment services.
Additional Duties Include
- Oversee the day-to-day operations in accordance with IAC 441 Chapter 24, 77, 78, 79, 90, and IAC 481 Chapter 57, 62, maintain compliance with COA standards and all other applicable regulations; monitor standards and regulations to ensure that the program meets criteria of accreditation bodies, rules and regulations, and revise policies and operations as required
- Participates in reporting, inspections, and compliance requirements of COA standards and all other applicable regulations.
- Assume 24-hour responsibility for all residential service locations:
- Ensure staffing coverage is maintained as required.
- Establish systems that ensure a safe working environment for all.
- Direct on-call responsibilities and participate in the rotation as assigned.
- Write and/or revise necessary policies and procedures to coordinate treatment and support services as required.
- Manage the recruitment and retention of personnel:
- Direct applications to area of highest need, cross-training staff to fill gaps according to need of individuals served
- Supervise and evaluate staff performance, ensure competency of all personnel that are direct reports
- Work closely with the Director of Human Resources related to personnel needs of the departments
- Provide and/or coordinate trainings as needed
- Lead program and multi-disciplinary meetings. Provide excellent communication among different program areas to optimize coordination of care and standardize operations for maximal efficiencies.
Qualifications
- Education & Licensure
- Master's degree in psychology, Social Work, Counseling or other Human Service program required; clinical licensure preferred.
- Certified in Medication Management or the ability to be certified within 30 days of hire.
Skills And Experience
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a supervisory capacity in a healthcare setting. Prior knowledge and work with waiver programs is highly desirable.
- Able to provide positive leadership and build collaboration across departments.
- Knowledgeable about community, state and federal financial, health and social policy regulations and programs.
- Previous experience working with persons with mental illness and/or co-occurring substance use disorders.
- Knowledge of, and ability to apply, management principles and techniques.
